Who is behind DOSE Design and Marketing?
Gavin Birchall is a pharmacist, designer and marketer who has created, led and marketed businesses at senior level and carried out the first global research into the brand of pharmacy.
What is DOSE Design and Marketing all about?
It was raining. It was dismal. It was deepest, darkest London in 2013. Turning a corner there was a kebab shop. Oh hang on, it was actually a pharmacy. It just looked like a kebab shop. This was not good enough. A masters in graphic design (researching the brand of pharmacy) later and we set up our company to help pharmacy people promote their organisations better. It’s a grass roots thing. Start working with real people and gradually make a difference to how pharmacy is perceived by the rest of the world. Then we noticed that people in other industries were having the same problem. So we are working with them too. At the last count we’ve worked with over 30 organisations and we are still trying to make a difference. We are getting better and better at it all the time.
How much will my project cost?
Unless your business is identical to one of our existing clients the costs will likely be unique to you based on what help you need and what’s involved. Get in touch and we’ll be happy to discuss some numbers.
How do you work out your prices?
We base our prices on the products and services that we deliver and the value that they add to your business.
Can I get a discount?
We don’t offer discounts. The price is the price. However, we like to work long term with our clients and ensure that we both gain value from the creative and commercial relationship that we develop.
How long will my project take?
This really depends on the specifics of your project so get in touch, let us know how we can help and we’ll give you a timeline. We can guarantee that we respond quickly to all reasonable requests.
How much input will you need from me?
We work in partnership with our clients and as our relationship develops we can often anticipate how they want a particular project to manifest. We often write text for websites, promotional literature etc and select a range of stock images to position a brand. That said there are occasions when you’ll need to write business specific content and provide any images that you really want us to use.
How do you handle things legally?
We ask all of our clients to sign a set of terms and conditions relating to the specific services they require. They are deliberately pretty generous while making sure we are all comfortable with where we stand and that our relationship is underpinned by a sound legal framework.
Who owns the intellectual property at the end of the project?
It’s your project so you own the IP at the end of the project unless otherwise stated in our terms and conditions. We’ll be creating something for you, so it’s yours.
